“Closeness, shared tastes,
expressed feelings”

The artist friends that have always been part of the Majolini winery story have left a legacy, their signature and a footprint of their journey there. In memory of a lasting bond.

Aligi Sassu

The renowned Italian painter and sculptor Aligi Sassu has left his mark with a bronze sculpture created for the winery: “I Cavalli Innamorati” (Horses in Love). Today the work is installed in a position that overlooks the whole valley and vines below the property. The relationship with the artist is marked by a close friendship with the family that, over the years, has translated into shared exhibitions, publications and wonderful, reciprocal artistic projects.

Luca Briconi: Disobbedisco (I disobey), a tribute to the Italian poet D'Annunzio

This wine was created to celebrate the poet and hero Gabriele d'Annunzio. The label reproduces the banner of the City of Fiume wanted by d'Annunzio: the snake biting its tail (Oroboro) is the Egyptian symbol of eternity and of life that is renewed. of eternity, because it is the constellation that does not set never and indicates the North Star, which guides sailors and which accompanied the Poet in Buccari's Beffa

Giuseppe Bergomi

Nature and humankind, natural cycles and ingenuity: this is how Giuseppe Bergomi views winemaking. He is an internationally renowned Lombard artist with several works of art at the winery. Bottles of Majolini Franciacorta rest under his sun and Medusa, soaking up the artwork in the Bergomi room that was named after him.

Luciano Molinari

Luciano Molinari, an esteemed contemporary woodworker based in Milan, has produced a living work of art that continually stimulates the senses. “Opera Sensoriale” (Sensory Piece) is housed in the Majolini wine cellars and is an original work of art, created in December 2013. It was made from 199 different types of wood from five different continents, from the most common to the most precious.

A truly fragrant mosaic..

The winery logo has been tessellated into small tiles of wood. You are then directed to scents of each wood in small jars, so you can smell what the work of art is made of. It’s like the sense of touch that is connected to the sense of smell, after the sense of sight. The wooden box from a limited magnum edition of Majolini Franciacorta Brut was dedicated to the 199 types of wood used in “Opera Sensoriale” (Sensory Piece).

Enrica Senini

Lawyer by profession, photographer out of passion, Enrica Senini manages to capture the essence of the soul in her photos. She travels with a specific theme to capture in every photograph. Prayer, spirit, dreams and nomadism are some of the themes that inspire Enrica’s travels across the world. She takes photos that have a light of their own and whose hues and expressiveness strike a chord with viewers.

Mattia Trotta

Since 2014, a whale has been sinking into the square on our premises, its tail visible. It is Moby Dick, the white sperm whale harpooned many times by Captain Ahab but never captured, the symbol of an impossible dream (the impossible challenge of creating the perfect wine.) Moby Dick is a creation by Mattia Trotta, a young Italian artist living and working in the village of Bienno since 2013, high up in the Brescian Val Camonica.

Tomoko Nagao

Contemporary Japanese pop artist Tomoko investigates change and metamorphosis. She re-imagines classic works of art in an exemplary manga style with a pop twist. Her desecration of age-old themes comes from the bridge she builds between her Eastern world and the West, so rich in historical inspiration and with its current climate of confusion. Irreverent waves of logos and brands crash into the sacred, clean space of a traditional painting, a contaminated tsunami.
